Department: CEO Office  / Legal & Secretariat
Reporting To: CEO & General Counsel

The role is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the CEO's office whilst also assisting in the delivery of the Bank's governance framework through the administration of Board and Committee processes, legal documentation, corporate records, regulatory filings and company secretarial activities.

Reporting directly to the CEO (primary) and the General Counsel & Company Secretary (secondary), the Senior Executive Assistant provides comprehensive executive support, along with governance and company secretarial support to both the CEO Office and Legal & Secretariat functions.

The postholder will manage highly confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion, ensuring executive, legal, governance and administrative matters are delivered accurately, professionally and within agreed deadlines.

Key Accountabilities

Executive Support to the CEO

  • Manage the CEO’s diary, meetings, correspondence and travel, acting as a trusted gatekeeper and key point of contact.

  • Coordinate briefing materials and actions to ensure the CEO is fully prepared for all key meetings and commitments.

  • Manage confidential communications and provide high-quality support to the effective operation of the Executive Office.

Governance & Company Secretariat Support

  • Coordinate Board, Committee and Executive meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.
  • Maintain governance frameworks, statutory records and company secretarial documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support legal administration, regulatory filings, corporate record management and governance improvement activities.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Senior Executive Assistant, Legal Assistant, Company Secretarial Assistant or similar role.

  • Experience supporting senior executives and leadership teams within a professional or regulated environment.

  • Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent written communication, document preparation and minute-taking skills.

  • Experience handling highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience within banking, financial services, legal services or another regulated sector.

  • Experience supporting CEOs, Executive Committees, Boards and Board Committees.

  • Knowledge of corporate governance and company secretarial practices.

  • Understanding of statutory filing and corporate record-keeping requirements.

  • Experience using Board portals and document management systems.

  • Relevant administrative, legal secretarial, governance or executive support qualification.
