All transactions will be converted to the card’s Billing Currency according to an exchange rate set by Visa on the day of the transaction; in addition, a 3.75% fee margin will be applied during any conversions.

You may access Visa’s Exchange Rate Calculator to get an indication of the rate you may receive when using your Visa Card to pay in a currency other than your card currency. Simply enter the amount to pay, select the currency to exchange, and the Bank’s fee margin.

Avoid Abroad Surcharges

With your versatile Trusted Novus Bank Visa Card, you can avoid currency surcharges by selecting your card’s Billing Currency to match that of your account and your own personal Base Currency. This can effectively eliminate all currency surcharges; see the example for details.

Example

If you make a transaction in the USA and hold a US Dollar account with us, providing that you use a US Dollar denominated Visa Card, the transaction will not be susceptible to Currency Conversions. In short, the transaction remains the same from purchase to posting.
