Fixed Mortgage

A rate that won't change for a specified period of time. The benefit of a fixed rate mortgage is that you will not be affected by rising or falling interest rates for a set during your fixed term. Fixed 5 years and no arrangement fee:

4.25% Base rate + 2.50% 6% 5% reducing by 1% per year

Repesentative example: A £120,000.00 mortgage over 20 years, starting with a fixed rate of 4.25% for the first 5 years, requiring 60 monthly payments of £743.08. After this period, the rate switches to a variable rate of BBR + 2.5% (7.25%*) for the remaining 15 years, requiring 180 monthly payments of £901.70. The total amount payable is £207,896.80, consisting of the loan amount (£120,000.00) and interest (£87,896.80).

The overall cost for comparison is 6% APRC representative.

Advantage Mortgage

The Advantage Mortgage aims to help with the early years of your mortgage payments by offering a reduced initial interest rate for a period of 5 years. Variable rate with reduced interest rates (5 years) and no arrangement fee:

Base Rate + 1.95% Base Rate + 2.50% 7.3% Full outstanding loan is repaid - £500

Representative example: A £120,000.00 mortgage over 20 years, starting with a tracker rate of BBR + 1.95% for the first 5 years. This requires 60 monthly payments of £908.87. After this period, the rate switches to a variable rate of BBR + 2.5% (7.25%) for the remaining 15 years, requiring 180 monthly payments of £940.53. The total amount payable is £224,833.60, consisting of the original loan amount (£120,000.00) and interest (£104,833.60).

The overall cost for comparison is 7.3% APRC representative.
