Account Manager - Private Banking

We are seeking a highly organised and service-oriented Private Banking Account Manager to join our Private Banking team. In this role, you will provide dedicated support to a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) and their clients, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals. You will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless client experience and ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of account management.

The Job

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, responding promptly and professionally to day-to-day banking queries.
  • Manage account opening, maintenance, and documentation requirements in line with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
  • Ensure the efficient day-to-day running of client accounts, including processing payments, monitoring overdrafts and loan facilities, managing online banking access, and ensuring KYC records are accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare for and coordinate client meetings, including creating meeting materials and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate and secure client records in internal systems, upholding the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Identify opportunities to promote and cross-sell banking products and services to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Support Relationship Managers in the effective management of their client portfolios, ensuring compliance with Bank policies and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on Management Information (MI) to ensure transparency of pipelines and performance metrics.
  • Resolve operational queries and escalate issues as appropriate, liaising with internal departments and external providers as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with RMs and wider team members to ensure a seamless, client-focused service.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Keep informed of relevant market news and developments to better understand client needs and preferences.

Your Profile

Requirements:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Previous experience in financial services, preferably within private banking or wealth management.
  • A sound understanding of banking and investment products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and operational risk controls, including KYC and AML processes.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • An interest in financial markets and investing.
  • Experience using banking or CRM systems.
  • Relevant financial or professional qualifications.
