Joanne Beiso

Joanne, Head of Compliance & Legal, is a busy mum of two, who has great focus in both her family life and her work life. Her job in the bank is complex and has great impact across the business but she loves being able to solve an issue and create better practices in all areas.

My job is to help the Bank comply with all the legal requirements that apply to it – ranging from Health and Safety to complex banking capital requirements. 

I have been doing a lot of work in the past months on consolidating our vulnerability approach so that we meet best practice when helping vulnerable clients, on root cause analysis of our complaints to help improve clients experience, and on structuring our ESG approach so that we can become a leading citizen on this front.

I have a close knit family with whom we spend lots of time – mainly eating out or having tea at our beach – ‘La Caleta’.  

I am a mum to 6 year old twins, which takes up most of my time and energy. They are very different children with different preferences and they are still young enough that  they want to spend time doing things with me, be it riding their bikes, building a fort or going for an adventure.
